What would be your favorite choice to toss here in the spring?

An Elk Hair Caddis might be a great potential meal for these guys. :fishing3:

It wouldn't really mater with Brookies stacked like that as long as it's a dry fly, it's going to be fun. I'd probably go with an EHC also because they almost always catch and will take a beating and keep om floating.

No one has mentioned what size fly as though it should be obvious, but if someone could humor me, I'd appreciate it.

If in the Rock Creek area and I was fishing for Brookies as the picture shows, I would use a #16 Gray Hackle Peacock.  The Gray Hackle Peacock is a soft hackle fly that resembles emerging caddis pupa.  I tie my own and make them in both wet and dry fly patterns.

johnjcampnfish, I think an EHC size 16 or 18 would be good.
