Title: Trout opener 2016
Post by: Gary C. on April 01, 2016, 08:40:46 PM
It's hard to believe that the season opener is just a few weeks away and the board has been this quiet. Does anyone have plans to run up 395 and try their luck? I just started a new job and don't think I'll get to go up. I'm hoping to at least get to read some reports from others that can go.  :fishing3:

We usually go up the week after the opener but too much snow at the lakes where we would go. Probably be the first week in June. Oh well, bring on the snow!

I will be up there again. I think this will make it 5 in a row and 5 total as well. Same site as always. Gonna try some new stuff at some of the usual spots, gonna try and run into Chris W  if you catch my drift. lol  :lol2:. Should be fun!

I'll post my week at the creek and opener later but to suffice to say fishing on the Upper Owens for Sat. and Sun was the worst I have ever experienced and that goes for all the other fishermen I talked to...

You guys need to check out Convict fish report or their Facebook page, there were some beautiful fish caught. I have a couple of friends that fished Crowley ,Convict and up thru Bridgeport and they caught a lot of fish.

No Opener for me, but leaving Thursday morning for Crowley. Plan to troll Crowley a couple of days and do some shore fishing at RCL and maybe venture further north to Virginia`s or the loop.
Hopefully the bite has started to pick up, Looking for tight lines !

We fished through the ice on Saturday morning. Everyone caught a few. It was slower than usual. Towards noon, people came up that had been fishing other lakes. Many from Convict. They said it sucked.
Sunday we fished Sabrina from the shore. It was much better. More and bigger fish.
We got chases out by blizzard conditions. Great fun.
