Eastern Sierra Forum / Re: Furguson fire and smoke?
« on: July 18, 2018, 03:07:57 PM »
i do know smoke from that fire is filling up the lake tahoe basin today....

i have seen pics on facebook of clear skies near mammoth in the morning, and then filled with smoke in the afternoon... so it is wind dependent on where the smoke is going.

cal fire's update this mornng was not very encouraging about this fire getting put out any time soon...thats a bummer.

perhaps Scout will give us his take of the smoke at the canyon:)

good to hear... while I doubt a brush fire going thru there would hurt the engines themselves... there are all kinds of old photos and such not that could be lost...

« on: November 06, 2017, 10:17:10 PM »
good points PAC about the costs of other things such as movies..  and then there is disneyland. (while i have no idea what the cost is there anymote, i am sure it is more than this price hike.

and if the money actually gets used in the parks, that would be grand.

so now to decide.. am i happy that i can pay less to get into Mt Lassen?   or am i sad because it wont get as much money?

whoa there...  INCREDIBLE scenery!!

i would love to walk i to evolution lake and see that view!

i am in awe:)
