In my pre trip insanity I found this on another Board and thought I'd get the blood boiling on this site a bit ....

Returned home on Sunday night. The Mammoth area is beautiful right now, everything is green from the recent rains and the lake levels are good. The warm weather is making fishing difficult. Crowley is going thru a algae bloom making fishing difficult, we did manage a few that were in the 2lb range good quality fish. Shore fishing at Convict was great in the evening with normal stockers and a few larger types. The best fishing was in Lake George, find deep water and you are as good as gold, half a night crawler and green power bait to cover the hook. Fishing was ok but, the family had a great time.

Thank you Whaler Mike.

Eastern Sierra Fishing / Eastern Sierras next week!

Headed north with the family and fly rod in hand for some time camping on the eastern slopes.

Preliminary intinerary:  Rock Creek, Lake Sabrina, Convict Lake, Lee Vining Creek, Rock Creek Lake, Chicken Fried Steak at Tom's, Virginia Lakes, Upper and/or lower lakes at Bridgeport, mountain biking at Mammoth, Devil's postpile, Bodie Mine (if I can get up there and in the mine itself), Saddleback Lake, which also makes a mean peach pie, lobster tacos at the Mobil below Lee Vining, perhaps a lake to fish in the Mammoth Lakes area, maybe Gull Lake, maybe hike into the lakes above Rock Creek Lake, smoke some Mahi mahi my coworker gave me (bears outta love that)  ....

What about McGee or other creeks?

Reports on water levels or fishing, and/or other suggestions and/or family ideas greatly appreciated!
