got this off of facebook....   looks like we will have some good reading when folks get back!

Here"s a sample size of opening day for you all.. A Dad & son had a German Brown each from Crowley Lake this morning, Dad's was a bit over 5# sons was 4 1/2, I also saw a 10yr old or so boy in Tuff campground with a Rainbow that was well over 3#. I saw several folks carrying thier 5 limit stringers thru French Camp as well. I had a feeling it was going to be a good opener, I had no idea it would be THIS good..

Beldingi taking a 9 week vacation?   now that is funny!!!    we are lucky to get her to stop working for 9 minutes!

she spends that time out here doing research on her belding research project:)    more like a big tease... she and her students get planted out here in a gorgous spot, but they have to watch the other people enjoy it while they do thier study and collect their data, about torture!! :)

this is from a few years ago.. but what the hay:)

Twas the night before Opener and all thru the house,
Not a creature was sleeping, not even the mouse.

The tackle was all loaded into the car with care,
In hopes that the time to leave soon would be there.

The fishers were restless, all ready to go.
They all hoped the big one would be on their pole.

The worms they were fleeing, shuttering in wait,
What if the fisherfolk select me as bait?

The mouse meanwhile was able to smile,
For all he could see was cheese crumbs for a mile.

And then out of nowhere there arose such a clatter,
As the alarm clock went off, and that was all that mattered.

Away to the truck, we flew like a flash,
Turn the key and letís go, lets get there fast!

And they drove, and they drove, each to their best spot.
Hoping by days end they would be the next BIG  SHOT.

And then they were there, at their secret best hole,
Ready for that first cast with their favorite pole.

Not long to wait now for the first bite of the year!
That feeling will bring a big smile from ear to ear.

ďIíve got one, Iíve got oneĒ, they hear from upstream.
Oh darn, why is it not me to give the first scream?

And then all is well, as you feel the big tug,
And the tip of your pole bends towards the bug.

At last it is your turn as you bring the fish in.
And look, itís the big one that you can take for a spin!!

So you land it and net it, and place it on your string,
Soon you will be the showoff, and boy will you sing!

And then there they are, all of the oohs and aws
The trip will be worthwhile so long as you keep it out of the bears paws.

Good luck to all and to all a good time!

Anything Goes / Re: How To Post Pictures - Instructions?
« on: March 27, 2012, 02:50:32 PM »
ok, here goes nothing...  er, hopefully photos!   I use photobucket, so i am going to say how it works from there.
save the photos to your computer...

go to photobucket, and upload the photos to there.  If you plan on putting them into albums on photobucket, go ahead and do that BEFORE posting them to the board, as if you move them after posting to the board, the link will be broken, and your photo will dissappear from the board.

save your photos.

minimize photobucket...    and open the message board in a seperate page.

start your post.. write until you get to a spot that you would like to place a photo.. i usually hit enter a couple of times to put some space between my writing and the photo.

go back to photobucket, and hover the curser over the photo until a drop down appears.. go to the bottom one where it says 'ING' image...   left click in that space, and it will say 'copied'

now go back to the board,,,   put your curser where you want the photo to go, and hit paste.   A bunch of writing will appear, not the photo.

you can then space down, continue writing, add more photos or whatever...   then hit post like normal.   i usually go back into the post to make sure the photos 'stuck'... when you go into read your post, you will see the actual photos.

let me know if anyone has any questions!  its not hard,, but it can be alot of back and forth:)
