Papow, as I recall Stephen (Steven?) who sponsored and ran the web cam site got very interested in other things, especially blogging.  He had moved away from the Sierra Nevada after the passing of his wife, got remarried and I believe was back in the Michigan area posting great pictures of the Great Lakes.  That's about as much fuzzy memories as I have this morning on it.

Gorgeous and not a soul in sight!  You've got a well full of mountainous memories and your photos keep sharing it all.  The wildflowers at that elevation, wow!  Thanks!

What?  You mean the "me, me, me" culture?  But they're entitled.  You're right, trouter, it has changed and likely there are fewer of those that choose to still respect our limited resources and opportunities to the wide open clean air, the precious waters and the ever dwindling fish supply in them, but not one of the majority can take away your grandchildrens' experience with their "Papa", that's for sure.  I bet you'll turn them into fly fisher-folk as the years go by just 'cause I think you'll instill that respect and love through your sharing time with them.  Hope your 41st year's return proves memorable.

Sounds like a great place to socialize.  How many miles a day are you covering?

Gary, cool trip report and really enjoyed seeing David with his fish.  Looked like a Kasmaster with that one Brookie, one of my go-to's with the spinning gear.  Some people, I swear, must have skeeter attractant in their blood.  My wife gets bit unmecilessly, maybe Tania has those same chems.  20 Lakes Basin is our target fishing area this October, though I'll probably pass on Conness Lakes Basin this time.  Even though you didn't get much time on the rod you had what looks like a great family and friends time.  Thanks for the pics and post.

Mcgee Dude, you can also access those lakes from Dana Meadows, a much easier route.  Hiking in from Walker Lake you'll realize why it's called Bloody Canyon for obvious reasons.  It's bloody steep, bloody rocky, and bloody strenuous.  Been both ways and each was rewarding at Lower Sardine.  Pulled a fat 16" brookie out of it one trip.  The Mono Pass has that little pond of a lake that had all the frogs when we hiked that way from Dana Meadows.  Don't know how the drought has affected that.  Lots of miners' cabins on that route, too.  Wshawkins posted a picture from above the Mono pass when he was standing on a mine entrance ledge, watching hikers pass by him without ever notcing him so far above.

Yeah, the hike out is bloody awful, too, from Walker Lake to the parking lot trailhead.  Keep an ice chest in your rig with a cold one waiting for you.

Great picture to go with the name - The Black Divide.  Golden Staircase prompted research on my part (again).  Wish I had young legs.

What a race!   Never slowed down, never faltered.  That was a beautiful ride for Espinoza and a great win for Baffert.

"...And that is why I'm broke".  Classic line for the starving artist that you are.  Thanks for the link, aka Clint.  I have a keen interest in doors, so that was kinda cool for me.

Good for the two of you to get up to have another slice of Paradise to remember together.  Nothing more precious in my book.

Was that bear a telephoto or shot "on the move" with your back pack camera?  Cool pics, wshawkins.  I like progressive shots of the huge pinnacle shaped boulder in the stream and then you pan to the Devil's Crags peaks, kind of showing where it might have come from.  That's a huge stone to be in the middle of that meadow!  Did you fish the stream?

Great TR, Dave.  Thanks for the pics and including the family and those fantastic fish out of Crowley.  Geez, score one at Crowley for the Browns!  Silver can always be a skunk trip if the wind's blowing, but that last shot of it you put in for us is a mirror marvel.  Wow!

Great job and how fortuitous to be there just then.  Idiot campers with no respect and plenty of ignorance.
