Looked at some of the web cams and it was great to see white stuff on the ground.

Just missed it. My wife and I were in Mammoth Sunday thru Wednesday. Had some heavy rain for a short time late one afternoon, but otherwise the weather was clear. Hiked around Horseshoe lake, hiked around Twin Lakes, drove around Lake Mary, and went to Roberto's for Cinco de Mayo (1/2 price Margaritas!). Made it up to Bodie one day - it was cold, but dry. On the way up to Mammoth we stopped at Bristlecone Pine Forest and did some hiking there too. Maybe a trip report with a few pics later.

So I took my girlfriend backpacking for the first time up to Box Lake. We were expecting 2- 4 inches...snowed a foot and a half. Teens at night...40s during the day. We stuck it out but didn't get to fish much. I have quite a few great shots of a wintry LLV. I will post a new topic when I can upload :)
