Anyone traveling into the backcountry tonight and/or tomorrow morning might want to amp up their preparations for backcountry travel; snow is possible tonight above 11,000 feet, though not assured, due to the cold temperature of an incoming storm. It's supposed to rain and rain hard this afternoon and all through the night at lower elevations, courtesy of an unusual weather pattern that is bringing a wet storm across the Sierra from the San Luis Obispo latitude, according to Howard Sheckter. ...

I feel bad for anyone out there in the bad weather but we sure could use every drop. I hope it doesn't mess with the club event too much.

Far out. Wouldn't it be crazy if the sierra had more precip during summer '15 than winter '14 - '15...
