Season Closing
« on: July 22, 2015, 05:01:05 PM »
Hello Creekers,

We're planning our annual pilgrimage to RCL a little later than usual this year--November.  :cold:
Does anyone know when the fishing season ends? Are the roads open that late in the year to fish RCL?

If none of the above is possible, what are the alternatives?

Thank you in advance.

Clint

Season ends on November 15 and none of the campgrounds will be open. French Camp usually closes on Oct. 31 The lower Owens in Bishop is open for fishing all year.. The weather will determine if you can drive up to the lake that late..

Lots of alternatives for fishing.  You have Convict Lake, the four lakes around June Lake Loop, Crawley lake, PVR, Owens River, just to name a few.  I was up last November and the upper lakes (over 10,000 feet) in Tioga Pass were just starting to ice over but still fishable.

Camp at Convict lake during that time of the year, and fish EVERYWHERE :D
