Mac or Windows?  Lots of problems with new Windows 10.  Some folks are handy with Windows machines and others only do Mac.

'the guy' is recommending a levano (sp?) computer.. any yays or nays?

its an all in one type... sits on a desk, everything is within the moniter looking part.

as you can tell, I am not a computer person:)

I bought a Lenovo last year. Have not had any problems with it. It's a large laptop I can use around the house. Decided to not be tied down to one spot with a desktop. Bought it online through Costco. Costco extends computer warranties for a second year at no charge.

LENOVO is the company that used to manufacture the IBM branded laptops as well as others.  Historically they have produced high caliber, high performance, high quality and reliable laptops.

That being said,  remember that any product is only as good as it is 'configured' based on the users needs or planned specific applications - gaming, graphics, video editing etc.

Make sure that whichever brand/model being considered has the appropriate processer(s) memory capacity etc configured to do the work needed.  You don't want a Porche with a Chevy truck engine and a BMW transmission  when what you may actually need is an entirely unaltered Acura.

Hope this is helpful...

thanks for the info!     now there is a name I recognize.. IBM...   giving away my age here:)

this is not a gamer..but does need the caliber for building plans etc..

and I do admit.. I got a laugh at the chevy engine in the porche...    you are so right.. . its a super duty lifted ford for me!!!! :)
