It's unfortunate, but we need the water badly.

I remember when Rock Creek over flowed at/above French Camp around 15 years ago. Sure made a mess of about 500' section of Rock Creek Canyon Road.

I imagine the canyon is full of raging, man eating mosquito's and chiggers about now.

I wonder if it will carry longer into the fall season than normal.

I'm packing today and sending them food tomorrow. Hope I do not end up like a buffet.

Hate to break it to you all, but they are really bad already. There is just a lot of standing water and mud which just creates a breeding ground. I usually don't get bit up too bad but this past weekend it was off the hook. Even driving down 395 we had so many bugs hit the windshield it sounded like it was raining!

And that area right around your cabin is one of the worst in the canyon for seepage and standing water. The worst chigger attack I ever suffered was when staying at Palisades. All the grass that grows around that area is prime for those pesky pest.

Long Lake was my worst, they were landing in 100 Deet. Inlet end of Saddlebag Lake a close second, especially Greenstone and Odell Lakes.

You got that right...yesterday morning I left a can of bug spray outside and when I went to pick it up there were two mosquitoes on the can!
