Last day of the fishing season
« on: November 19, 2017, 09:59:48 PM »
Last Tuesday night made the decision to make the 4 hour drive to Bishop and fish the last day of the season at south lake. Left Home at 2:00AM arriving at south lake at sunrise. It was windy with snow flurries on and off, but the fishing was GREAT. Never saw another fisherman the entire time while fishing near the boat ramp. After a few hours of catching and releasing I drove up to north lake area and fished the creeks and caught and released a few brooks then made it to Sabrina and caught one more before it got dark. Great way to end the season, come on 2018!

Surprised that you could still drive up there but excellent way to end the season! :fishing3:

Ironically the chamber of commerce for Bishop was having a fishing derby with tagged fish at Sabrina, North lake, South lake and intake 2, but out of the almost 25 fish I caught not one was tagged.
