Fred, if I turn off the screen with all that happened, do I disappear?  Does my world go black?  Thanks, but this computer is staying on all night.  I want to see if it updates my history tomorrow with some new information.

Actually very cool.

I was born the year that the radar gun and the geodesic dome were invented. Now I REALLY feel old.

Radar Gun!

Try LPs. Most of you youngsters never even owned an LP.

Not only do I have LP's. but also have a huge stack of 45's (most with their original dust covers), and two turntables. I guess I have sold out to the modern era as one of the turntables converts the records to digital to include in my ITunes library.

Cool.  It's good to know that someone still likes the vinyl.

I've got a numbered copy of the Beatles "white album". Bought it a the NAS Corpus Christi exchange in 1969 for about $6.
Also have some cool transparent red vinyl albums that were pressed in Japan. Bought in 1970 for about $3 each (Cream, CCR, etc).

I still have a 1969 tube-type Kenwood receiver, and my old technics turn-table.

That's even more cool.

My mom has a few 78s that I used to listen to. Bing Crosby's White Christmas, and a bunch more from the 40's. One is titled "Have You Got Any Gum, Chum".

That had to be at the tail end of the 78s. 45s were out, and were cheaper and more popular.

The 78s that I've played were all hard rubber, and easily broken.
45s were vinyl or plastic. Easily scratched, but they didn't break if you put you're elbow on one as you reached for another, while playing them on the living room carpet (I know from experience!)

Now I have to get in the attic and see what 78's I have... Hank Williams, Hank Snow , etc. Might even have "The Bum Song" by Haywire Mac, now there's a classic!
