18 lb Brown
« on: October 27, 2012, 02:50:53 PM »
Haven't seen the pictures yet, but Andrew from SLR has posted that an 18 lb. 1 oz. brown was taken, photographed and released.  I checked Western Outdoor News just now, but although they are talking it up about the fall activity and the bite where Rush Creek flows into Grant Lake, no word of the behemoth.  Kind of cool that Jared Smith is in the article in W. O. N.

Sounds like the trout don't know that the season is over.  When he posts pictures, I'll let you know.  Hope there's a story that goes with it.

Let me wake laughing from a nap in the afternoon under the aspens in the fall.

Wow!  That's a big feller!  Not the prettiest, but perhaps the baddest dude in the lake.

Thanks, Bill.

Here is the picture of that large brown trout from junelakeloop.org

Awesome catch of an old Brown Trout!  Kudos to the fisherman who released the fish back into the lake.

SLR? Season isn't over yet! Not till I catch my last trout of the year next weekend. What a huge Brown! Knarly hook jaw.

How do they even catch these things?  Did he catch it fly fishing?  My 4lb test mono line would snap quickly.
