Not the Eastern Sierra, but still nice.  Oak Glen, local apple orchards where U-pick your own apples, had some nice fall colors showing.

Bishop Creek Road to North Lake from Last October 2011

I like this one...looks like fire and ice.

Plus a little mystery with the single lonely track going out of sight.

This is my last “fall” picture and my favorite picture of Rock Creek Lake.  This is from 2008; sunny and breezy day was heading to Mosquito Flats for a hike and had to pull over for this picture!  Getting the best fall pictures is all about timing, and nobody knows when the trees will turn colors.  Every year is different!

Anybody still have some fall pictures please post, otherwise thanks to all who contributed and for those who had nice comments about the photos.   :thanks:

Thank you!  Your collection of pictures shared with us warms the spirit and delights the eye.  I especially like the shot of "the lake canyon area".
Let me wake laughing from a nap in the afternoon under the aspens in the fall.

Saudust, that’s the canyon that takes you to Oneida Lake and the May Lundy mine.  Did a trip report on that one of the old boards?  The fall colors did help keep the long hike from my mind (somewhat).

Thanks for the kind words Trev Dog.  I think if this was a contest I would have voted for OldSarge. He timed his trip perfectly for photo taking in Aspendell and along Bishop Creek!
