STILL FISHING
« on: May 13, 2013, 04:15:50 PM »

Hello, everyone.
Its been a while and I think some of you might have thought that I vanished from the surface of this planet.
The answer is NO.  I have been fishing at many places but I am just getting lazy to post all the reports.

So, I will just post the photos and limited information for the trips I have made since last spring.
That is about 1 year worth of fishing!!

2012 June  Somewhere in Alaska called "Lake Creek"
Fishing Kings with fly.

Fish on !!!

2012    July    Somewhere in the Eastern Sierra
CSI Lake that holds only Goldens
And the hiking is only 15 minutes.  Too good to be true?  It is True.

This is me arriving at the lake.

2012  August   Somewhere in Juneau, Alaska
Tossing lures to the ocean from the shore and catching Salmons is FUN !!

2012   Summer  Somewhere in Northern California
Fishing for Kings

2012     November Pyramid Lake
Fishing for Cutts with lures

2013   Of Course,  The Opener at my favorite Lake

The creek is waiting but let me stay dry....

Good to see you back Chris! Awesome fish. Glad to see there are still goldens in the northern CSI lake.

Looks like a good year to me!  Especial like the golden lake short hike.  Tried to get up there late in 2011, but the stream was running high all year due to the record run-off.  Might try again this year.  Thanks for the report!

Outstanding report as usual Chris, thanks for the fantastic pics. Try not to be a stranger this year.

Take care my friend.

Yes, Chris, you are back and still making me more anxious than ever to bend the rod.  Great fish and glad you made it to CSI again for the Opener.  Heading there in a week and hoping to take a picture as fine as yours.

Thank you everyone.
We are going to Woodchuck ( again ) Lake at the end of this month.
5 hours of horse back ride but Brooks in excess of 20" are waiting there.

In June, we will be flying to Alaska for the Kings.
Then, at the end of July, we will be hitting a creek in Alaska that holds
4 types of Salmons and said to yield 20 - 40 fish per day!
I hope that is true.

I will try to post each trip report.
I also need to find out more new backcountry lakes that holds lunkers.

I got the big skunk at your 2013 opener CSI lake, but I've heard there are some big fish there.   I was up there in 2011 and the creek was very high, looking forward to fishing it soon.  Have you fished the creek much?  Or do you concentrate on the lake?   I found shore access a bit limited on my first trip, but with the lower water it might open up a bit.  Could not get across to the northern shore due to the outlet water being so high and no waders.   It is a gorgeous hike and beautiful lake no doubt.

Still trying to pinpoint that golden CSI lake, but I have a couple possible guesses.

Thanks for sharing.

John

I do my best fishing in the creek.  But the lake kicks out the biggest fish for sure!   :fishing3:

Chris!!!! Wow as usual.  Glad your back, thought we had lost you for a bit.  But I see that you are still having the same luck with those monsters....  Opening day at CSI must have been awesome.  I want to go back there sometime near the opener to have better luck than our last time.  Thanks for the trip report. Great photos also.
