Mid July Rock Creek Wildflowers
« on: July 15, 2013, 08:51:16 PM »
First pics I've tried to hang here in awhile, and photobucket looks different to me. I'll try 3 pics per post.

Life without music, laughter, and an Eastern Slope BBQ would be a mistake.

I think that's all I took. Interesting is that all of the pics, with exception of the Lupines, were all taken within 100' of our campsite. The Lupines were taken in the vacinity of Heart Lake.

And final disclaimer is that all the pics were taken with my cell phone, not some high speed camera.

I hope you enjoyed them.

Nice photo's!  The cell phone cameras are really something now!

Thanks, Paul.  More to add to my collection and maybe a screensaver or two.  Your cell phone worked great!
Let me wake laughing from a nap in the afternoon under the aspens in the fall.

Thanks for all of your comments. I've never seen the canyon so in bloom as this last trip. Definitely a pleasant surprise.

Hope it's still in bloom when Todd heads up with his daughter. Maybe he can shoot some better pics and hang them here for us.

Good work Paul.  Yeah Photobucket has changed,  and so has this site...it hasn't worked worth a feces for me the past few days.  I have taken the time to write a story from last weekend,  and post a bunch of pics,  but when I try to post em,  it says forbidden or some such non sense..
Once I arrive at Tom's Place...well,  you know...nothing else matters...

Yeah, Photobucket should be renamed Phototoilet with the changes they've made.  Great pics!  I won't get to visit until Sept., so I won't get to see much in bloom this year.  The Rock Creek area is certainly blessed with an amazing array of wild flowers.  Thanks for the great effort, both in the taking and the most PIA part- posting them.
