There are some who haven't been able to log on or access the board for a few days Bob.

I was thinking of doing the same "Test" myself this morning.

I hope Carol didn't accidentally "perminently ban" herself. I was a little worried when they gave her some extra buttons and levers to manage.

Life without music, laughter, and an Eastern Slope BBQ would be a mistake.

I was thinking that it was awfully quiet around here and every time I woke up at my desk I would look again and nothing new was posted.  Started to seem like a bad dream.  Now I can go back to sleep feeling much better.   :tent:

I can get on with no problem using my desktop or my phone if it's using WIFI but not the 4G.
My son gave me instuctions to give to Carol on how to check the servers that are being used, seems like one of the link servers is bad.

My action has also been a little on and off.

I can't get on at home, using AT&T, but, I'm sitting here in Penney's on their wifi, and it works. What's with AT&T?

Will be in French in on Wednesday. Hard to wait.

Working now...on Verizon 3G.
It's got to be AT&T related, at least in my case.

Wonder what I can do about it.

I have the same problem as I can not log on at home. I also have AT&T, so I'm dead in the water.  I'm at a coffee shop that has wifi and it works OK there!

Carol sent me the results of the test that she did for and I sent it to the server folks...hopefully something happens soon...

been in Lassen for the past week, so now I can start dealing with this headache again.  I've had no problems since I started using opendns as my dns server.

Should we form a "Study Hall", tutor Carol for her next test in hopes she gets better marks and is allowed to return?

This was posted on Facebook by Tim and Carol, but I guess if you are able to read this you are not having any problems accessing the board:

we have an update to the issues with accesses the message board, and the rock creek lake web site:

Yeah...it's a problem w/ ATT.. They blocked our server for some reason having to do with spamming or something...

from the web server: "So It's an ATT issue. The company blacklisted the server farm due to it being identified as a source of DDoS attacks inclusive with an attack about a week or 2 ago. ATT will not remove the block until the server is confirmed clean, which will take some time, and there is maintenance scheduled soon. Apparently, Pacifichost is willing to move all of the sites on my server to a new server farm so that AT&T customers can access and use our websites. The only issue to this solution is there will be a new IP address, which opens the door to more complaints about not being able to reach the server (lazy ISPs not updating their DNS records)."

so i guess the good news here is we can all stop pounding our heads against the wall, cause it is not us:) but the bad news is, there isn't anything we can do about it either.....except go to a local library, starbucks, or other wifi provider and access thru them.. as long as they are not AT&T.

this can be followed up with:

"So this is Rock Creek's busiest time of year, and people can't access the site. FRUSTRATING!!"

I think it's time for Carol to update the way she accesses the internet

I was thinking it was just me that couldn't access the site. I tried from three different computers and all of them returned the message "server has timed out - taking too long to respond". But now that it's been mentioned, all three computers are "serviced" by AT&T. Well it's working now, so I'm a happy camper (happy camper-inadvertent double entendre). Know I can go back to getting all worked up about our trip to Big Meadow August 25 through31! Good to be back!
