2013 Dove Season
« on: August 23, 2013, 09:26:19 AM »
Good morning friends, Ventura is beautiful today, come visit some time.  Heading up your way next week, Aug 30, and looking to plink a few doves on opening day, Sept.1, and then head on up to Walker Lake for some fishing.  Lone Pine to Independence seems to be the best bet from information available online.  I'll be solo next week as my wife does not like roughing it.  Does anyone know of information resources (sporting goods store) in that area?  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

My older brother and his family lives in Ventura, so I visit their often.

So your coming up to the June Loop (Walker Lake) for some fishing. I was there and can tell you the lakes were on fire. Walker gave up some nice browns, but Silver Lake and Rush Creek were the best fishing areas for me.

Ernie's is the local sporting goods in the June Loop (in the Village).  Have a great trip!
