Cold air
« on: November 20, 2013, 05:47:02 AM »
Just noticed some frigid air working its way down from the Great White North. Lets hope it translates into a bunch of snow.

Life without music, laughter, and an Eastern Slope BBQ would be a mistake.

dmatt has forecast that elevations above 8,000 ft. should get some from this system.  Let's hope for more and a bunch of it.
Let me wake laughing from a nap in the afternoon under the aspens in the fall.

Here's the latest from my little corner of the Sierra....not much. This latest system was (is) bringing warmer temps...27 deg. at my house Tuesday morning at 0700, 37 deg yesterday, 36 today . I drove up the Canyon yesterday, the road is clear and dry until you get above East Fork, then a little snow. The road is still open to Mosquito, although that may change soon. Took a walk to the top of the Lake, snow was hit and miss on the road, maybe an inch where it hadn't already melted. The Lake is still ice-free.
A little more snow this A.M., up McGee and on the Glass Mts., it doesn't look like that much. No idea what they got in and around Mammoth, I think I may drive up that way tomorrow...anything amazing, I'll let everybody know. No snow in Crowley, or surrounding areas....
I guess this wasn't the storm we're all waiting for....

Nice to have our own weatherman nearby.  ;D  Thanks Scout.
