Actually it's one of four fakes they move around the marina as sea gull repellent. They really are quite effective.

Ya know, I was going to post earlier how I would be very cautious with a coyote that was that "friendly", maybe sick/desperate. Very funny now though, thanks Bob.
Life without music, laughter, and an Eastern Slope BBQ would be a mistake.

The dummies are very realistic. I have jumped more than once when I see one.

Were having a real problem with coyotes on my street the last two months. 3 dogs and 3 cats have been killed by coyotes... They are jumping 6 foot block walls to get into the back yards..The last one was two weeks ago, my neighbor let her small dog out to potty at 0700 hrs, as she watched the dog a coyote jumped over the wall, grabbed the dog and took of with it jumping back over the fence..  If I see one in my back yard, I won't hesitate to shoot it...

R96, maybe you could hire out part time to your neighbors  :doglick:  That along with all the cans you pick up could help pay for the high price of gas this year on all your trips.  Heck, if you could charge enough you could even stay up there longer each trip, buy your wife presents so she'd let you stay, reload more ammo...the possibilities are endless.

bj, that 'yote does look like the real deal.  I can imagine the birds would shy away from that!
Let me wake laughing from a nap in the afternoon under the aspens in the fall.

A lot of the golf courses around here have those stationed to deter the geese from ruining the greens. What they leave behind on the greens burns the grass after the sun hits it (high in nitrogen maybe?). More and more courses are using these.
