2014 OPENER
« on: April 29, 2014, 07:43:02 PM »

Hello, everyone.
Its been a while but yes, I am still fishing.
Like Retired said, it was indeed a snow white opener.
I was driving my 4x4 in the snow at 4:00 am and we were hiking in the dark with flashlights in our hands at 5:30 am.
When we got off the vehicle, the outside temperature was indicating "12F".

Here are some photos from my favorite lake.
Fishing was OK ( I landed 20 fish within 10 hours ) but nothing big.
My friend, Yuji, was able to land one Brown that measured over 20".

This was one of the larger fish I caught this day.

Next day, Sunday, we hiked down to Walker Lake.
Again, the fishing was OK but very tough to cast our lures due to the strong wind.
Yuji was totally out of shape and this is how he looked after he made the uphill hike back to the trail head.

We'll be back to this beautiful world again.

Chris W.

The creek is waiting but let me stay dry....

Welcome back to the forum. Knocking it out of the park as usual. Great to see you had such presents for Fishmas!  :chestbump:

Sounds and looks like an outstanding trip Chris, Congrats!
Life without music, laughter, and an Eastern Slope BBQ would be a mistake.
