Do you remember the June Lake fire from this September?  My sister and her husband were staying at the Heidelberg Inn in June Lake when there were mandatory evacuated due to a fast moving fire near June Mountain ski area.  These are some of the photo’s they took.

What were really great are the Communities of Lee Vining and Mammoth Lakes offered discounts for lodging and restaurants for displaced residents and vacationers.  They called me that night and if I could call and get them something in Mammoth lakes.  Got them a nice condo and it was 30% off their best advertised rate.    Also gave them a list of the restaurants that were offering discounts (over 30 of them!).

Picking up another load of water for fire.  Makes you wonder if any trout got sucked in?

First night of the fire and looking bad for June Lake Village as its was heading that direction with high winds pushing the fire.  Firefighters did a great job of saving the town!!!!
