What a great day it was LHR.

You would think that after so many years spent on the Eastern Slope, that one wouldn't still be so astonished by the back country beauty.
Life without music, laughter, and an Eastern Slope BBQ would be a mistake.

Question, how old does a child have to be? My Grandaughter will be 3 1/2 this summer?

Great photos. We've taken that ride twice as tune ups for the pack trips. One trip the creek was so strong it moved some of the horses downstream several feet. It's a fun ride.

Phil & I tried selling the pictures to the National Enquirer but they would not pay enough. Nice seeing your pictures!

YAY for the paparazzi!!!

and trev... I went thru the McGee creek pack station web site,, and the only reference to age tha I saw was a min of 7 years for their pack trips.. i don't know if this applies to day rides as well.. I guess you would have to call them and ask..

Another fun ride during the winter is the owner will bring the horses down to the Alabama Hills for a day ride.

Another really cool thing about Cody's first ride is that he had a semi temperamental ride, and did really well taking control. I think he's a natural.

I heard a rumor there might be a Hilton Lakes day ride this year at CLUB. Well....actually I am starting this rumor. It would be a fun time and between Carol and I we could talk Craig into something special I hope. Beats walkin!
Pack it in, Pack it out...or have a Wrangler do it for you.
