virtually no snow on Mammoth Mtn

Looked at the Mammoth Mtn snow report and it is dismal..... 40 inches at the top and 20 at the bottom...

I skied Monday and it was was bare! Mammoth has incredible snow making capability so skiing was still a blast! Without the fake snow however they'd probably close the mountain. The Town is virtually dead. The good news, it's snowing! I predict a great rest of the "Winter" I'll be skiing Opening Day! one other weird thing, Convict Lake is ice free but Crowley has thin layer of ice covering the whole lake.

You might think the rest of the winter will be great but I personally think it will be a disaster. I really feel this winter will be a dismal winter for rain and snow in this state....

mammoth website says they got 1" of new snow making the total so far for January 1.8"  OUCH!!

We are still ahead of last year by 18"

WE need another kickass  February thru April !!!!

Read a article this morning, if San Francisco doesn't get any rain by the end of this month it will be the first January since 1850 that the city received no rain for January.
