Mammoth got 12 inches of fresh snow and more is on the way this week. Just wait until miracle March sets in! I'm telling you, I'll be skiing in May!

No way that's nearly enough, but we'll take.

Every inch is a blessing at this point. Praying for a March Miracle.

Let it snow!

I did the opener for 20 + years, and we've had some pretty big storms roll in on us. Actually had some great snow the last weekend in April. Been going up the 1st week in May the last 5 or so years. Wishing and hoping for a huge March! Howard Sheckter is saying March is going to roll in like a Lion! I hope Howard is right. Would love to fish Friday and Saturday, then hit some fresh groomed snow Sunday. That's a perfect way to start the Trout season IMO. I going to keep the faith.

Love your optimism, but we still need about 12 feet or more of snow for a “normal season”.  Hope you right about March.   :shoveling:

we gotta figure out how to make a lake lay of the side of a hill.. then you could toss in a line at the top, and ski your way down... trolling all of the way :)

Roy,  not only that,  but we really need the snow pack.  Water has been pouring into lakes like Shasta,  which has received over 40 inches of rain this season,  compared to only about 7 at this time last year.  It is still at only about 55% of capacity,  but is filling fast.  Still,  a slower snowmelt would be so much more beneficial,  but we have to have snow first before it can melt,  and we need about 15 more storms with a foot to catch up from the last three years of next to nothing...
Once I arrive at Tom's Place...well,  you know...nothing else matters...

The pessimism on the threads lately is unbecoming. Didn't your parents ever tell you to try and spin the positive? Debbie Downer needs to go..... Smile people, life is good.

Maybe fishing from a jetski would come close?

Here we go, Snow for the mountains, to help the snow pack and ski resorts. Rain for So Cal. Time to make a crock pot full of Beef Stew, a baking dish full of homemade Mac & Cheese, and pancakes and bacon for breakfast. Time to hole up for a winter weekend, and hope that we get more weather than forecasted.   :shoveling:  :rain:

Bring it on Mother Nature!
