Rock Creek Lakes Resort is not your typical California resort.  Swimming pools, jacuzzis, tennis courts, saunas, room service and maid service are not services we offer.  Our services cater to down-to-earth campers, fishermen, hikers and backpackers, and families that want to revert back to, if only for a short while, an old-time atmosphere with modern facilities.

Some of our services include very reasonable boat rentals ($60 - full day, $45 - half day for a motor boat), a complete tackle shop and small general store, propane, ice, showers for campers and hikers, a small breakfast and lunch counter, beer and wine, and modern cabins.  Employees of the Resort strive to be friendly and helpful, and will attempt to answer any questions that you may have.  While you'll find nothing fancy here at Rock Creek Lakes Resort, except for maybe Sue's pie, you can expect a smile and a very community-oriented group of people once you enter our doors.  You'll feel at home right away, we're sure of it.  Our season typically runs from mid-May through mid-October, but our busiest season is from late-June through Labor Day.  We are closed during the winter season.

Rock Creek Lakes Resort's housekeeping cabins are located in the forest above the Resort, and are very comfortable, clean, and secluded.  Our cabins are equipped with modern kitchens and full baths.  All of the bed and bath linens are provided for you, and gas heaters warm the cabins quickly and efficiently.  There is no telephone or television access in the cabins.  Our two newest cabins are non-smoking only and require a one week minimum stay.  For more information on our cabins check out the Cabin Information Page.
Rock Creek Lakes Resort's restaurant is surprisingly good for its size (a walk-in closet with plumbing according to owner Sue King), and Sue's pies are a local staple for many diets.  Bicyclists ride from Mammoth to the Resort, a roundtrip of about 50 miles, specifically to be treated to a piece of Dutch Apple, strawberry, blueberry, rhubarb, or any number of other pies upon their arrival.

Significant changes to the restaurant are occurring this summer, in particular the elimination of the breakfast and lunch menu.  Sue's world-famous pie (yes it really is) and coffee will still be served, and an outdoor BBQ may take the grill's place.  Details regarding the restaurant's status will be forthcoming in the very near future.  Check back soon for these updates.
