This is the view of Box Lake from the trail (photo by Abe Kleinfeld).  A small snowmelt pond is located just to the right from where this shot was taken, but it usually dries up completely by mid-summer.  The lake can be accessed from here, as well as by walking upstream from the inlet to Heart Lake.  Box Lake is at an elevation of about 10,500 feet.  The next photo was taken about 1/8 mile beyond the inlet to Box Lake.
