Long Lake - Northeastern Shore

This shot was taken only about 15 yards beyond the previous one.  The trail continues here along Long Lake's eastern shore.  This is a very rocky area, and marmots have made these rocks home.  Beautiful columbine thrive in the rocks in July and early August as well.  Nice campsites can be found on the lake's north and west sides.  Long Lake is a rather large lake and is inhabited by brook, brown, and rainbow trout.  It's at an elevation of 10,543 feet.
