Crankcase Grade

This view is of the trail and
creek only a few hundred yards past the trailhead. The entrance to the
John Muir Wilderness is only yards from this point. Brook trout tempt
anglers in this section of creek. Crankcase Grade is the name of the hill
straight ahead. This trail used to be a road in the early 20th
